I actually went there for a repair the last time, not this time. I thought that their charges were extremely high. I thought that they were unreasonable and I didn't understand why it cost so much to replace what they replaced. I just thought that the charges were really unreasonable - it was like $300.
Wow! I'm from Bandera, Texas and came to Austin to visit my parents in Round Rock. During my trip, I noticed that my check engine light came on, I pulled over to the side of the highway, and remembered that I had downloaded the repair pal app on my phone. I typed in Austin, knew I was close to Congress Avenue in Austin, so I called Dave's, told them what was happening, and they instructed me to go ahead and try to drive in because I had no running or noticeable problems. It was 4:00, I got there and to my amazement, both Michelle and Todd, knew I was coming, had paperwork ready, even had a a technician available to check my vehicle. When they checked my vehicle, I had no serious issues, only my gas cap was not tight, but they gave piece of mind, and the fact I had my young son in his car seat (which he enjoyed the technician showing him his computer) we now know we can get home safely. If that wasn't enough, they didn't even charge me. Kudo's to Dave's Ultimate Automotive's employees. I told my parents (both work downtown) and they told me they where going to start going to Dave's. I will tell all my friends, and family as well. Thanks again!
I have been taking my cars to Dave's for more than 15 years. My current car has 181,000 miles and is still going strong. The fluid services they offer keep your car running smooth and trouble free. At Dave's you don't need to worry about unnecessary work being performed or suggested. And there is no repair work to small or to big for the folks at Dave's. I never go anywhere else and I frequently refer friends to Dave's.
Awesome, I feel like part of the family. They truly explain in detail the repairs needed and why. I will even take you to your vehicle to show you. Can't ask for much more in an automotive shop. My Ford Explorer was at Dave's for a state inspection and to repair a leak in one of the tires. I was told the tire was coming apart and the other tires were showing significant wear considering their age. Rather than recommending replacement at Dave's, they referred me to Ford to see if the tires were covered under warranty. They were and I received new tires from Ford at a significant savings.
