Question: dashboard lights go off and on

The dashboard lights beginning with the day light goes off then back on within 20 seconds and sometimes does it again. It is random when it happens.

    Does the car still have a warranty from Toyota? If not I would suspect a bad connection behind the dash or a failing circuit board in the instrument cluster. I work on a lot of Toyotas but have not seen this problem with the Matrix.
