Dodge Magnum Problem
Average Mileage: 92,154 mi (12,600 mi - 220,000 mi)
When driving my magnum at random times all my dashboard lights come on and my gauges drop to zero. As quick as this happens, it stops. problem can occur when I hit a bump driving or sitting at a red light. Have had it to the dealership and had the computers updated, but this has not helped. Codes indicate a possible need to replace the FCM Module and the IPM module, but service department is not confident that will resolve the problem. Said it may be a bad battery which is only three months old. Any thoughts on where to go? Replacing the computer modules is very expensive.

While driving all my dash hazard lights will light up at once and the gauges will drop to zero...but at the same time my heater blower will shut off. Same with our 2007 jeep wrangler! What is going on!?!?

Had this same exact problem. Dash warnings all lit up, gauges dropped to zero, and the engine died. Opened the rear end fuse box and replaced the #8 fuse (15 blue) and everything fired right back up. Manual has #8 listed as Ignition start/run. Hope this helps!

The same thing that the first guy in this reports is happening to my car. " When driving my magnum at random times all my dashboard lights come on and my gauges drop to zero. What's worse is I just bought this car three weeks ago for 15,000 at a Lexus dealer in Orland Park Il.

Gauges would always jump at startup, which was no big deal, then one day while driving home my speedo started jumping around. This happened for a few days, with it always going back to normal. One day it just stopped working, and hasnt worked since. The dealer want $150 to tell me whats wrong with it, sorry guys, im not rich enough to throw away $150, so its been over a year now that it hasnt worked. Sucks...

Have same problem. dealer has no answer. Happens while driving, however if I accelerate quickly all goes to normal until I go a steady speed again or slow down. I happens every other week, and than not for another month or 2 and then 2 to 3 times a week, then good for a while again. All dash lights come on and all gauges drop to zero and turn signals become inoperable when this happens also so be careful. I tried to change lanes on a highway thinking the car had an issue only to find out I had no turn signals until lights went out. It would however leave the traction control off light on telling me it was disengaged until I turned the car off and restatred it, so you need to be careful since traction control really is off when the light comes on, and the dash switch will not re-engage it at this point until you turn off and restart the car. Very dangerous this winter in snow! Spun out 2 times going a steady speed at 15mph because rear tires would break loose and loose grip since traction control was turned off without warning! This is a safety hazard and still no recall. I guess when someone dies, maybe it will mean something, or not. Maybe it takes 200 deaths like GM to count as a problem!

Randomly the dashboard will have all the idiot lights light up while the gas gauge, speed, rpm and temp gauge drop to empty, 0, 0 and cold. If the heater is on the blower turns off. If the heated seats are on they turn off. This lasts for a few seconds before resetting back to normal. You do have to turn the heated seats back on. The dealership wasn't sure what was wrong. They guessed at a potential fix involving replacing a sensor and maybe some rewiring but the $ they estimated was insane. I tend to think it's a computer (chip) problem that all these sensors are routed through but what do I know.
