Question: Dashboard cluster is erratic

Rookie
Sometimes it shows fuel levels but most times just OC (open circuit). I've heard the cluster's electrical connections need to be cleaned. Others say it is the fuel sending unit. What say you? What does it cost to replace the sending unit? anyway to test it first? Anyone know where I could find instructions for taking out the dash display cluster?

Visitor, December 01, 2010, 15:09Replypull the cluster and clean electrical connections. If that does not work re-solder connections in the cluster. Probably better to do both while you have it out.
