dash lights dont work on 1998 Nissan Altima

i tryed to connect new aftermarket guages and a wire arched and now the back lights for night time dont work. i have looked at all the fuse i could find but no luck any suggestions?

Are you talking about the back lights for the new gauge or instrument panel?

Does the illumination behind the cigarette lighter, heater controls, and factory radio work? Re check fuse number 34 (10 Amp fuse in the fuse box. I hope the diode on the printed circuit board behind the dash has not been damaged but recheck the fuses with a volt meter (or Ohm meter with the ignition off).

no the heater lights dont work.
