I JUST HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM WITH MY 95 GMC JIMMY (AUTOMATIC 2WD V6 4.3 VORTEC) AND IT STARTED OFF WITH RANDOMLY DYING WHEN I WOULD STOP AT STOP SIGNS AND LIGHTS, (UNTIL I LEARNED HOW TO KEEP IT FROM DYING BY BARELY PUMPING THE BRAKE AND PUTTING IT IN NEUTRAL WHEN I WAS AT A RED LIGHT) I WAS THINKING IT HAD TO BE SOMETHING ELECTRICAL OR TO DO WITH THE ALTERNATOR OR SOMETHING, BUT I WENT ONLINE JUST LIKE YOUR DOING AND DESCRIBED THE EXACT SYMPTOMS AND MULTIPLE PEOPLE TOLD ME THAT IT WAS MOST LIKELY MY BRAKE BOOSTER OR A VACUUM LEAK IN MY BRAKE BOOSTER THAT CAUSES THE MOTOR TO LOSE AIR PRESSURE WHEN YOU APPLY YOUR BRAKES AND THEREFORE CAUSES YOUR VEHICLE TO HAVE A ROUGH IDLE AND OR STALL OUT. So I went to my local Pick-a-Part and paid $30 for another BRAKE BOOSTER and my husband had it up and running fine in less than a hour. We haven't had any problems since then, with that problem at least! lol! Good Luck!
