Wow, I've never been to a shop that thought so much of themselves. This was the most over priced shop I have ever been to. I can't recommend them nor would I ever use them again. There is a great shop accross the street that charges half the price for the same service using the same parts. The only good thing i can say about Curry's is that I found piedmont Tire and Auto because of them.

Curry's is a very enthusiastic shop with good service advisors. However, I had a vacuum line that had become loose causing a problem with my idle. In the end, I was recommened new plugs, plug wires, oil change, air filter as well as the diagnosis fee for them to hook up the vacuum line that had fallen off. I was charged for a new piece of vacuum line, even t hough it looked like they just connected up the existing one.
The end result? Over $700 in repairs for my vehicle! Ouch! Afte reviewing the final bill, I realized their hourly labor rate is $112.00 per hour. I'm not sure the service centers in car dealerships are up to $112.00 per hour yet, but I may be wrong.
Though, Curry's Auto tries to offset some of the expense by providing you a rewards card with points. Bigger jobs give you more points on your card. Yet, you are limited to being able to spend only $60.00 of reward money on each trip to their shop.
Needless to say, I can't recommend this shop to my friends ... unless they have a thick wallet. I know I personally won't utilize their services in the future.

I've only been to Curry's Automotive in Gainesville once, but the quote I received for the repair of my AC was much higher then the quote I received from another shop in the Gainesville area ($1900 vs $1000). The staff was pleasant and professional, but that didn't make up for the excessive cost.

I have been going to Curry's Auto in Gainesville since it opened, having never felt comfortable with other service providers in the area, and have had nothing but good experiences with them. They honor other auto services coupons and have matched or beaten their quotes. They really care about their customers and service rep. Damon is a hoot! Highly recommend them for anyone looking for an honest place to have their cars repaired, or even for their tires!
