CSE Automotive has been serving the Oreland community for the past 40 years with the primary goal of keeping you and your family safe on the road. This RepairPal Certified shop focuses on building relationships with it's customers, explaining their past history of success. The team here is a group of experienced industry veterans who have a variety of skills to take care of your needs. Some of their special skills are custom exhaust work and general fabrication. This coupled with complete vehicle restoration services make this a good choice for your old classic. But it doesn't stop there, they also stay current on the latest industry technologies by attending ongoing training and have access to some of the best computer diagnostic equipment available. They back their work with a 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty. For your convenience, shuttle service, early bird drop off, and a clean comfortable waiting area with wireless Internet are available.
Looking for automotive repair you can trust? You've just found one. Welcome to CSE Automotive, formally "Chassis Suspension Engines, Inc." Named by owner Bill Sherwood for the three main components of a car. (However, that's too lengthy to say and hard to spell so we're better know as CSE Auto.) We work on all makes/models of foreign and domestic vehicles, specializing in Volkswagens and Audis. Situated in the friendly neighborhood of Oreland, between Ft. Washington and Glenside, we are only minutes off the Ft. Washington Turnpike Exit 339. Or leave your car, take the train, Septa R5 line is within walking distance of the shop. Be prepared for any kind of weather! Stop in any time for these FREE services: battery check, tire inspection, or tire pressure check.
This is without a doubt the best repair shop I have ever used in over 40 years. They do great quality work, stand behind it, are a pleasure to deal with, get it done when they say they will, and their prices are extremely competitive.
Have spent some hours chatting with Bill and his mechanics as they worked on my car. They are all car enthusiasts, and have considerable expertise. They take their time and work as if it was their own car. Their wheel mounting and balancing is without peer -- I have been driving since 1965 ... they are the best I have ever had. Highest recommendation. No BS ... I have a rare high-performance Volvo SW ... and I will let no one else touch it.
Everyone there seems to really know their trade. The owner is honest and up front. The shop is in disarray and needs to be cleaned up. Doesn't have any bearing on the quality of work but it could be a really nice shop if things we're put away and not laying on the floor. Gives the appearance of a sloppyness.

Hi, Mark! We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Gosh I hope you're not referring to customer areas. We do our best to keep them clean and accommodating. We have a highschool student working with us to help tidy work areas, make the place more presentable. Well, pretty good anyway for a 40-year-old business. Please give us a call at 215-885-5570 if you'd like to discuss in further detail. Thank you!
I have been dealing with CSE for a couple of years and have been very pleased with the level of service, neighborly attitude and fair pricing. We use them for our personal vehicles and our company fleet.
