Question
My Cruise Control is Dangerous. At 70 MPH if go to activate CC, two things might happen;
1. the system may not activate at all
2. The system will lurch forward 10 miles over the spead quoted above or any speed it's always 10 miles over.

Your car has problem that needs to be diagnosed with a BMW capable scan tool by a skilled tech. It sounds like there is problem with the Electronic Throttle Body and its communication with the other systems, such as the Speed Sensors and Engine Computer on the vehicle. This IS dangerous and I would take it a good BMW shop ASAP.
