Edit

Model Years Affected: 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993

Average Mileage: 155,500 mi (122,000 mi - 189,000 mi)

Verified

If the engine cranks but won't start, the fault may be internal to the distributor. Diagnosis will show no spark and trouble codes for the crankshaft position sensor (CKP) or the camshaft position sensor (CMP). Our technicians recommend replacement of the complete distributor assembly if these conditions occur.

Was running fine. Quit 15 miles from home sort of. Still would idle and could just press on the throttle for high idle but would cut out at 1500 RPM. Got the rig home at high idle. Now it would start again and run for less then a second and shut off. Fuel pressure is great (60PSI), Grouding the green connector doesn't produce any error codes. Seems to have spark. Adding gas (priming) to the intake manifold won't make it run.
Note, The aftermarket tach quit at the same time the rig stopped. It was hooked to the pink wire on the distributor. (I know now it was not the proper connection for it.)
