1993 Mazda 626 Question: cranks but doesnt start

Was the distributor confirmed to be the original problem? Did the car initially not have spark at the plugs? I have seen poor quality rebuilt distributors that even out of the box new would not start the car. If it cranks and tries to start perhaps the ignition timing is wrong. For the computer to trigger the fuel injectors its needs to get a signal form the distributor that the engine is cranking. I will look at a wiring diagram this evening and see if I can give you more information.
