2004 Ford Taurus Question: Cranks but does not start right away

 Rookie

I have to crank my engine 2-3 times before it starts. Had it to Ford and they updated the computer. Was Ok for several months. It has started again. Only now i have to crank it 5-6 times before it starts. Runs just fine once it starts.

    Sounds like you have a bad fuel pressure regulator. Some testing is required to confirm this. I don't believe it has anything to do with what was done before.

    my nissan sentra 03 does same thing dealer says its the fuel gone bad they reset but it stills does it 1 year later auto store tech said same thing expensive to fix. labor
