Question: Crank Shaft Position Sensor

I'm trying to find the crank shaft position sensor and have yet to locate it,the van will fire sometimes but then die.Not sure what it is but process of elimination has led me here.Thanks

    on my dodge van it's found where back of motor & trans meet on passanger side
    held in by hex bolts
