2002 Hyundai Elantra Question: Crank seal??

Oil is flooding from behind the main pully, so i figure it must be the crank seal, how much should this cost, is this very hard to replace myself? -

it blowed the crank seal in the timing belt cover and i replaced it and it blows it out again in about 2 minutes
My Hyundai has popped 2 crank shaft seals in 4 weeks does anyone know what the problem could be. The car has only done 48000km.
DEALER STATES CRANKSAFT HAS EXCESSIVE END PLAY, THRUST BEARING & CRANKSHAFT DAMAGED. ENGINE IS NOT WORTH REPAIRING. VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANY OVER 100,000 MI. IS THIS COMMON?
I recently had the alternator replaced and was informed that the front engine seal has a leak in it. How extensive is this to repair and approximately how much money am I looking at?
