  Charlie combines old-fashioned, endangered character traits like honesty and competence with the knowhow to cure the illsn of modern cars. He's a regional treasure. Keeps me driving my '96 model confidently.

  This is one of the best independent Saab/Volvo shops in the area. They were able to quickly troubleshoot an issue I was having with the turbocharger in my car, when another indie told me everything was fine (it wasn't). Charlie's rates are very reasonable, and in the case of older cars (Saab 900, etc.) he'll often try to find you a good used part instead of making you spend $$$ on a new one. CPL is more of an "if it ain't broke don't fix it" shop, probably because they don't want to make you repair/replace anything that isn't necessary. If you're more of an "if it looks like it could give you trouble in the near future, replace it" kind of person, you'll need to stay on top of them a little. Also, if you give them more than a couple things to do, plan on letting them have the car for two days. It's a small shop. Still, highly recommended.
