Only some time on take off 20-40 mph hesitate or sluggish.Using Shell regular swith to cheaper gas when price went up. Now back with Shell. Spark plugs, wire, air filter and all has been changed. 125,650 miles and has never hand any trouble. Change oil every 3,000 miles and now it's giveing me trouble. Start ok if you give it gas she gets up and goe, but I don't like putting my foot in the tank to speak. If I give it gas she will not sputter or jerk.

Is the service engine soon/check engine light on? If so trouble codes stored in the computer of your car will give the clues as to what is wrong. Even if the light is not on a professional grade scan tool can retrieve potential /pending codes and test sensors without doing intrusive testing at each sensor. I suspect ignition failure, coil pack or spark plug wires maybe as simple as plugs. PS if timing belt wasn't changed in your engine make sure it is. Hyundai as a car manufacturer put a lot of free technical information and workshop manuals on line for Hyundai owners. Check out www.hmaservice.com lots of great information.

Spark plugs and wire were changed may last year. No engine light on. Timing belt hasn't been changed. Husband had stroke and can't work on car any more. Has a small car shop. Now my son will havew to do the work. Has never changed a timing belt or fuel pump or fuel filter. My husband could this in his sleep. What shoul I do to keep down the cost and expense or the life of the car. The hesistation is only some time but still there. Thanks for any hep you can give me.
