They're friendly and informative. You know, he didn't leave anything out. The estimate was dead on. It was a little bit over, but he went back down. The service was good. It was an easy location to get in and out of. They have a very professional staff. They're AAA certified, which you know, says a lot about them. And their customer service was very nice. Very nice service.
I have an older car, and I've had them for many years. I mean the last time I went in to have it checked over and have everything OK'd it was $75. I had the oil changed, everything done and they did good work. They are very honest. I can't say that about everyone. They're accommodating. They're clean and they're efficient. I would recommend them to anyone. They're convenient. They're not too far away, they take me home if I need it. They're just very nice people and they're very efficient.
They were very easy to work with. They were very honest and I felt very comfortable going up there. You know when you are very good at something and you have to walk someone through something that is new to them, you have to treat them kind of like a child so they understand it. They helped me understand what needed to be done with my car. They were very patient and were great.
They are honest. I have been going there for a long time. I am their oldest customer. I've been going there since 1995! They are dependable. Their mechanic is personable and shows me what needs to be repaired, so you get a visual and I know they're not just trying to rip me off. They are very personable. They get the job done right and quickly.
I used them before for my daughter, only I never met them because she lives close to them and I didn't, and my car broke down and I called AAA and the owner called and I was like, "Oh, I hear your car is coming here," and I had never had that before so that was great. I was broken down about 500 miles away from home and they took good care of me and were very nice and accommodated me. It was a reasonable price. Well, the owner is very responsive. You don't see that in every auto shop.
Because they were very honest and nice and they fixed my repair and they didn't charge me for, I can't remember at the moment what it was it was so long ago, but they recommended me to go somewhere else for something they were not adequately able to repair. Since I'm a woman it's hard to be a part of the auto repair industry and they were just very nice and took good care of me. Well, I dealt with two different guys there and they were both equal and honest and fair and they both called me back right away and told me what I needed to repair that was necessary and what wasn't and they were fair.
I was satisfied. I was in southern California and I needed to get the air conditioner fixed. I wasn't sure if I needed to get the whole thing done or just get it serviced. Basically he told me that it was fixed but not to his liking and to take it and drive it around for a day and if it was not working to bring it back. He was upfront about that. It wasn't blowing as cold of air as I would have liked so I took it back in and basically I ended up getting the whole thing rebuilt for $500. I am not sure if that was a good price. Normally I like to research before I was just down in southern California for a short time and the only other price I had was from a gas station. It worked very well afterwards and is still working well.
I was told by another mechanic that I needed new brakes. I am fairly mechanically minded and I didn't think I needed new brakes. Well, I drove that car for two more years and never needed new brakes, but just to check I took my car into these guys and they confirmed I did not need new brakes. I trust these guys so completely. I will recommend them to all my friends. I bring my Mother in law's car there and she lives two cities away. I trust them and will continue to use them all the time.
When I first learned of this shop they had come recommended by a family friend but my experience there turned out to be a nightmare! When my car failed to start I thought it was a simple problem such as the starter. A day later they told me my engine was completely seized up and that they did not know why. They lied to my father and I telling us that they had tried various things to test if the engine was in fact seized. In reality they did NOTHING!! They told us our options were to pay $5000 for a used engine, or to sell my car to them for $500. My car is a 99 and blue book value is $7,000!! I didn't trust them and took my car elsewhere. Turns out the only thing wrong with the car was the hot lead on the battery!! Within half an hour and for $ 25 my car was working again. Jim is a LIER!! Not only that, but he and the owner must also be idiots to think they could get away with such a scam. They tried to work my father and I for $5,000!!! DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE EVER!! Please tell your family and friends in the area to save them a huge and expensive headache.
Already more help to me than dealers and this shop hasn't even made money on me yet! Anthony stayed late after hours orienting me as new customer; exploring in advance my extended warranty including ownership and service region transfers; without requiring first seeing car, called GM after hours and then called me back trying to find out-of-business Saturn part not on GM list he'll continue searching for, if necessary after-market; and promised on first visit to look for all warrantied needs to reduce deductible frequency and visits!
What a contrast to Weseloh Chevrolet in Carlsbad my extended warranty company told me Manager Dan should have checked with them before wrongly telling me a service wasn't covered though acknowledging the warranty current I had to put into dispute with credit card company they even called and got no response, and then I had to submit request for reimbursement later directly from out of state warranty company ~ whew!
So thankful for finding this independent shop--the only way to go if you can avoid dealerships--after friends counselled me certified "indy" service complies with warranty requirement!
I'll post a review after the service I'm happily and confidently looking forward to being fulfilled by such a spirit of excellence and caring as this local gem of a find: Costa Mesa Auto Service Center right off the 55 Freeway in the hub of Newport Beach, Irvine, Huntington Beach, Corona Del Mar, Costa Mesa, Santa Ana, Fountain Valley, and I bet word of mouth referrals bring from even farther. :)
I took my car to this shop when I noticed that my wheels were starting to show metal threading through the rubber. Not only did these guys give me fair service and pricing on my tires, they helped me recognise and service the timing belts which were squeaking as well. One of the best auto service places I've ever been too.
