What is a ballpark figure to replace a timing belt?

    The timing belt is $50 and the basic timing belt only replacement labor time is 3.5 hours but if you are replacing the water pump, tensioners and oil seals it more.

    This is going to really vary depending on what size engine you have. Please let me know if it is a 3.4 V6, 2.7 4 cyl or 2.4 4 cyl

    For a 5vz motor (2001 Tacoma v6 3.4l), just a timing belt would start at 380.00 (with a toyota timing belt, coolant, and labor included). Now for the whole nine yards, which includes idler bearing, tensioner bearing, three drive belts and water pump (BTW all of it would be OEM parts) I would charge $650.00. If the cam seal and crack seals were leaking I would replace it for approx. $100.00 parts and labor. I hope this helps :)
