Question: COST TO REPAIR TIMING CASE OIL LEAK

What would it cost out the door to repair timing case oil leak? Does the timing belt and cam sprocket need to be changed as well.

    I recommend replacing the Timing Belt and if needed, the Tensioner. The pulley are probably ok. You can use our Estimator guide to determine the cost of repairs in your geographic area. https://repairpal.com/estimator?car_type_id=4625

    It's being suggested to change the water pump also. The estimate given by the dealer is around $1100. Would an independent mechanic cost less?
