2002 Volvo S60 Q&A

2002 Volvo S60 Question: Cost to repair tie rods

Does anyone know what the reasonable price is to repair tie rods on this vehicle? I'm afraid I need new ones but don't trust my dealer repair shop and don't know of another good Volvo shop. -
Answer 1
These do commonly become loose and need replacement. Your looking at about 1 hour labor per side plus alignment. The part is available from aftermarket company like Bilstein, and will be much less expensive than the dealer part. Look for a good European Independent shop, they can perform this job easily or this can be performed by a good tire shop. Check the directory for a shop in your area: http://repairpal.com/directory -

I'll say between parts & labor u are looking about 360.-, there is 2 inner and 2 outer tide rods 2 hours labor and front wheel alignment, I suggest that you set the rear trust angle to zero, it'll cost you like 20.- -
