Its probably not your switch. Ive experienced this on early 2000 pontiac grand ams. For some reason the bulb that works causes the other lamp not to work or it is very dim. Try swapping the bulbs before you replace the switch. I know they are totally diffrent cars but theres no reason to spend the money and replace ethe switch if theres nothing wrong with it. Also there are 2 fuses for the headlights #32 and #33 be sure to check these. If it is the switch your looking at around $200 parts and labor depending on the shops hourly labor rate.
