My call was stalled and I needed to have the issue diagnosed. How much should it cost to ID the ignition coil was the problem?

This would normally take about an hour, but there are many variables when trying to diagnose a problem like this, there's often no clear cut path to an efficient diagnosis. There can be many different symptoms for a problem with an ignition coil, so a lot really depends on what the symptoms were, how often the problem was occurring, if there is a history of part/system failure and the mechanic performing the work.

does your car stall or misfire? if it stalls, try cleaning the throttle body. if its a 6 cyl it may be the idle control valve. if its a 4 cyl misfire (usually cyl 2 but may be 3) the ignition module may be defective. more info is needed. your issue is not clear. i REALLY doubt you need a coil on this model car!!!
