 Rookie

100,000 mile service calls for replacement plugs specified as Platinum/Iridium. I assume this is the bulk of the parts cost. Do they have to be this type?

  no, the labor is the bulk. it pays over 3 hours to do the plugs.

• do the spark plugs break off during a tune-up?
  I have heard that to change th plugs in my F-150 can cost as much as $2000. That seems really high to me.
