Question: cost of new transmission replacement?

Visitor, 3.0L V6, Dallas, TX, March 10, 2010, 19:31

i have 170,000 miles,and my transmission went out! had to push almost a good mile! what can expect for price range of repairs from dealer? i love my car,bought it new,and i wanna keep it!

    For the non DOHC my labor guide says it is a 7.5 hour job price of transmission rebuild vary widely depending what is wrong with your transmission or what warentee is provided with the transmission.

    I own an 03 Taurus, it has 50,000 miles on it. I tried to drive it today, but won't go in gear, any gear. Is this the transmission?
