2003 Ford Taurus Question: Cost estimate for replacing camshaft position sensor synchronizer and magnets?

 Rookie

It has been recommended that the part above be replaced to
correct a chirping sound near the thermostat on the driver
side, opposite the serpentine belt end of the engine.
How much will this cost at a shop?

    dealer prices are $280 labor and a couple hundred in parts

    the sensor itself is about $24 its the labor they break you on!
