Model Years Affected: 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002

Acid may leak from the battery at the cable connections, resulting in corrosion on the battery cable ends and in the battery tray. A Leaking battery should be replaced and the cables thoroughly cleaned or replaced if necessary.

why is the shifter cable not lining up with the shaft on the transmission????
...everything came off fine. now when i go to put the cable back on the shaft its not lining up. transmission is in park so is the shifter. the nss is lined up with the shaft and can be installed easaly.
