cooling fans on 1993 Honda Prelude

when does the cooling fans kick on &how can I make sure their working right

1 fan is controlled by coolant temp. but should also come with the A/C. The other fan comes on with the A/C. To chec the coolant controlled 1 start with the engine cold remove the radiator camp and start the car. Turn on the A/C both fans should be working. Turn the A/C off, both fans should stop. Put a thermometer in the coolant in the radiator, the fan should come on somewhere between 190 and 215 degrees. I may be off on the temps but it should be close to that.

On certain models a faulty radiator fan motor can cause the AC not to cool properly. Replacing the faulty motor should correct this problem.
