Question: cooling fan comes on draining battery. how fix?

Battery dies repeatedly because the cooling fan is coming on at night and draining the battery

    I'm thinking unplug it at night. Make an app. to get it checked. Don't forget to reconnect plug in morning.

    Thanks for your reply. I have disconnected the negative terminal when Im not driving to keep the battery from draining. But Im here on this site to try to find a cheaper way of fixing the problem than taking it to a pro mechanic (they charge 80 -100 dollars and hour just for labor, never mind parts) But again, thanks for your input.
