  It is the engine coolant temperature sensor, not a switch

  http://repairpal.com/engine-coolant-temperature-sensor -> here is a link that describes it, however, there is a fan relay, and other things involved in the operation of your cooling fan. Does the fan come on if you turn on the A/C? Because it should.

• Low Coolant Sensor
  My Low Coolant Light stays on and there is plenty of fluid in it where is the sensor located?

  ...ile run? There is no sign of leakage anywhere except there. The shroud is wet under there also. water pump, exhaust pipes, radiator hoses, radiator all dry.
