coolant leak on 2004 Cadillac CTS

Motor is leaking coolant, Coolant is leaking from the front area of the engine, cant see or tell were it is originating from. Also the leak does not always happen. I don't know what is going on and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

It could very well be a weeping water pump, which can be tough to pinpoint. How many miles are on your CTS? 43k, OK. Best thing to do is to get it pressure tested and put some mirrrors down near the front of the engine to pinpoint the leak. Is your engine the V6?

the car has 43,300 miles.

also, check the resevoir where you add fluid. this may be cracked. it is [plastic and often expands over time. it is in the front of the engine.
