Hello ,, originally you car probably calls for dexcool anti- freeze .. do not put this back in your car ,, go to the parts store and ask for universal anti feeze ,, it is also long life anti freeeze and will just work fine,, typically you should change you anti freeze every 2 years

Let me clarify my recent response , of course it would depend on how much you drive as far as mileage goes , but on the average , every two years is sufficient , however have it checked two times a year , when you get an oil change, it doest take long to check it , nor does the coolant hydrometer eithier.. You can do it yourself. Make sure you check it for not only what tempurature it is good to , but also just as important , the acidity level as well. This is important in todats cars with high tech computer systems in them.. Also I figure if gm can make a coolant that supposed to last 100k ( now thats crazy ) 2 yrs before replacing your coolant is sufficient....

How much do you value your car? No special coolant. Flush it it once a year. It really does not cost that much for piece of mind.
