Coolant on 2006 Buick Lucerne

I have been told to only use Dextron coolant when I flush my old out is that true or is that away of selling there coolant?

Dexron is a transmission oil. Did they say Dexcool which is a GM long life coolant. Any good quality antifreeze would be fine if you thoroughly flush the cooling system. A lot of people do not like Dexcool Antifreeze.
