Can I still drive with an open thermostst and if so for how long? What are the consequnces?

    Yes you can, but you will have poor heater operation, decreased fuel mileage, higher fuel emissions and the check engine light will likely come on.

    You can but you wont get any heat in the winter time also it can cause over cooling which is bad for your engine
