I was replacing the rotors in the rear of a 2000 Park Avenue. The service manual says you have to take off the parking brake cable from the brake assembly (turns out you don't have to). But now I can't get it reconnected since the spring is so strong. Is there a trick to doing this?

There is a parking brake cable adjuster, follow the cables, it is usually in the center of the car. I would loosen that to give you more free play with the cables. I have done what you are trying to do and it can be a bear.
