1998 Ford Mustang Question: Computer says the fuel tank pressure sensor is bad should I replace it.

Well Matt, here it is. More likely the sensor is simply telling the computer there is a problem with tank pressure! Have EVAP system tested for correct purge, may be a problem with a solenoid, vent valve, blocked hose ect. First thing people, even the ones that work on vehicles, want to do is run out and buy whatever sensor the computer says is sensing a problem, sometimes it works, most of the time it does not! Just trying to save you some time, money and aggravation.
could be a circuit issue and not the sensor,these can be hard to diag and repair for a beginner,seek help
