Rookie

had a coolant leak car got hot I pulled over and shut down immed ...cooled down and drove half mile back home ...car started twice after that ..next day had it towed to garage who said it wont start and sounds like it has no compression? it never got enough long enough to damage engine what gives? 1997 Lincoln Cont

you apparently did get it hot enough. it does not take much to cook these aluminum motors.

Ok good news! My mechanic called and said after a few days of drying out (antifreeze from boil over) engine began to show signs of life and slowly turned over and started...he thinks there is a sensor that got wet and shut down starting system...got the car back and its running great! I knew I didnt run it long enough hot to damage the engine..
