the timing chain tensioners have been replaced but the engine still knocks when cold. Is there another solution, or was the repair not done properly? Is there long term damage from the noise?

Hi, Were you able to find the source of the noise? Was it related to the timing chain repairs?
Thanks for any info you can provide!

I have the same noise in my 2006 Azera with 30,000 miles , it's piston slap and goes away when the engine warms. Make sure your dealer makes a record of your complaint . It Most likely it won't cause a problem but if some thing goes wrong down the road you have a record of the complaint.
