what is the fix for this code I just replaced the cat and now this code comes up

    This code refers to the bank 2 cylinders running very very lean. On a Ford V6 , these will be the cylinders 4-5-6. Here is an article that I wrote to help people with these types of issues, P0171 is bank 1 lean and P0174 bank 2 lean, the P2197 is just a manufacturer code for the same issue, sometimes you get both.

    Thank you for the prompt reply. I actually read your article before I posted. First off, I am not a mechanic and do not have diognostic tools. I can do some basic stuff but I am better at paying others to do it for me. I was hoping that since I just replaced the plugs before this happened that it would point to something like a hose or sensor I might have knocked loose. I did not want to just start replacing parts (O2 sensors) until the problem went away. Just to give you an idea, i understood about 70% of your post (I'm an electrical guy not a car guy). Thanks again!
