does anyone know hoe to diagnose this code P1740 on a DodgeRam Van 3500. when im driving it the gears shift a litte hard.

   Master

  its a 3-4 shift solenoid circuit failure.

  you need a scan tool, volt meter and a shop that can trace down the issue. these diags are not for home repairs as most people dont have scan tools at home.
  a trans shop can diag it for you and give you a bid. the 3-4 solenoid may be the failure but you must verify the wiring harness too.
