2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer Q&A
2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer Question: code p0449
Code P0449 on your 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer refers to the EVAP vent solenoid circuit, electrical fault. This fault could be caused by a failed solenoid, a wiring issue, or a faulty PCM. The solenoid should be located on the body cross member above the rear of the fuel tank. I did not find any service bulletins addressing this issue. I would recommend diagnosing the system before simply replacing the vent solenoid. - Jim Taddei
they put the vent in a bad spot where road dirt and rust attack the unit. i have done several of these that just seize up. Roy - mastertech6371

What do these codes mean and what parts should i look into if doing the work myself...Thank you in advance
EVAP vent solenoid was told there is one in the front by engine and one near the gas tank. Should I replace both or does one go out more often then the other?
