code 214 on 1994 Ford Escort

I need the pinpoint test for this code I know its something to do with cylinder identification, but dont have the right book.

The code indicates a loss of signal somewhere along the way with your cam or crank sensor. This can be due to a faulty camshaft position sensor, faulty crankshaft position sensor, or faulty processor. It could also be a wiring issue.

Thanks, the cps,( which should be noted is the cam sensor) was not seated. pushed it on road tested passed. P.S. it is located on the drivers side of the head back corner. for all the other 214 codes out there.
