I sent my 1993 Ford F150 to Coastal Transmission in Beaufort, SC. When my truck came back I noticed that a piece of my engine block was broken off. Precisely where the transmission and engine bolt together. I called them to discuss the issue and they were very rude. They eventually did admit that the break occurred in their shop. They did offer to weld it back together. Which would just be a temporary fix. I asked them if I were to break your headlight... would they expect me to replace it or would they be OK with me glueing it back together? Same difference. Right? I told them I would be filing a complaintwwith the better business bureau. They did agree to cut me a check for $400.00 which was still not enough to replace what they broke. A few months later I started having problems with my transmission slipping. So I pull the dip stick to check the my transmission fluid and the tip of the dip stick had been broken off. they never told me that it had been broken, just took it upon theirselves to weld it back together. I called and again they were very rude. There response was well do you know how hard it is to find a dip stick for a 93 Ford F150. I told them I would not be bringing my truck back for them to break and rig something else. I would recommend taking pictures of everything before sending your vehicle and checking it over before it leaves their shop.
