Everytime I start up my car a very musty odor and after a while it leaves. I really don't like the smell!

I just purchased the car Sebring 2007, 2.4 l, sedan. I detected immediately that musty odor is coming into a cabine like somebody has burned the plastic or rubish material.

Musty smell of unknown origin. Seems worse during rainy weather.

I bought my chrystler sebring almost two years ago used, during the cold months and especially the rainy season the car will shake and turn off when at stop. I have read that this is a common problem with the 07 sebrings. The first thing anyone checks is the comupter and any lights that may go on, but my car always checks out fine. Finally after the thirs time taking it to my mechanic and talking to three diffrent people one may have solved my problem. They changed my air filter and said there was some carbon build up near the throttle. So far so good, i just need another rain to come to test it out in the harsher conditions. They told me that if it keeps giving me problems i may have to replace the throttle itself and it may come out to be pricey. I also had the issue of a musty smell since i purchashed the car, i think changing the air filter has solved that though.
