    This is my first experience using City Garage. I had a problem with the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light being on and vehicle running roughly especially during idle. The diagnostic testing indicated the EGR valve on my 95 Saturn SC2. The EGR valve was replaced along with intake system cleaning and an oil change. The total charges were $600.27. The EGR valve replacement was $393.75 and the intake system cleaning and oil change was $149.00. Then there was a $32.57 charge for shop supplies and $23.95 for sales tax. I was happy in my dealings with City Garage Svc. Adviser Daniel Mulkey but looking at the RepairPal EGR valve replacement estimate range of $162 - $262, I am wondering why I was charged so much more. I know there was some diagnostics involved and cleaning the intake system but it still seems excessive. My car seems to run good so they probably did a good job, so that I am happy about but it was just done today so time will tell. I appreciate that they guarantee their work and my dealings with their people was pleasant.
