2007 GMC Yukon Question: Cigarette lighter replacement

I need to replace or repair the cigarette lighter on the drivers side. Whats the best way to obtain access to the lighter to replace or investigate further to preform some type of repair

    I'm not familiar with this vehicle, but every other lighter socket I've replaced is secured from behind the socket, so you'll need to remove the panel the socket is attached to so you can get to the back of the socket.
    Examine the new one to get a better idea of how it's secured to the panel.
