The hood latch may not secure the hood properly and as a result may allow the hood to open while driving the vehicle. This would cause reduced visibility and risk of an accident.
The information in the owners manual regarding door handle and lock function from the inside of the vehicle is in error, stating that the door cannot be opened when locked by only using the latch handle. Instead, door will unlock and open when using the door handle alone from the inside. Confusion from this error could lead to a door being opened inadvertently, and result in injury.
The front seat driver's and passenger's seat belts may fail to latch properly, may stick, and as a result may not be secure. This can cause risk of an occupant becoming injured from not being secured properly.
The parking brake may not hold the vehicle securely due to mismatched cables being installed during vehicle production. This can cause the vehicle to roll away unexpectedly when parked.
The sensors that detect a collision and deploy the air bags to protect occupants may not be properly secured, and as a result will not trigger the air bags to deploy properly.
The front brake caliper guide pin bolts may not be tightened securely and could loosen, resulting in reduced braking ability.
The air bags may not deploy to protect occupants in an accident. This would result in increased risk of occupant injury.
