A failure of a key electrical connector in the power distribution center of the vehicle wiring may lead to the failure of electrical components, and result in the vehicle stalling without warning. Dealers will replace the affected connector or harness depending on the vehicle free of charge to resolve the concern.

The software for the vehicle radio can be exploited by unauthorized parties who can make changes vehicle system software remotely, possibly endangering vehicle operation. Chrysler will mail owners of affected vehicles a USB drive that includes a software update that eliminates the vulnerability free of charge to resolve the concern. Alternatively, owners may download the software from Chrysler directly to their own USB device to update the vehicle software.
The transmission parking pawl may become contaminated or the park rod may become dislodged and broken, resulting in the vehicle not being able to be shifted securely into park. Dealers will inspect the transmission and repair it as necessary free of charge to resolve the concern.
The wiring harness inside the driver's door may overheat and melt, short and cause a fire hazard. Dealers will replace the door wiring harness free of charge to resolve the concern.
The rear shocks may detach from the vehicle due to a faulty weld, which may result in damage to tires, other suspension components or brakes. Dealers will inspect the rear shocks and replace any affected ones free of charge to resolve the concern.
522 vehicles equipped with a 2.4L engine are being recalled because the engine may have abrasive debris in the balance shaft bearings. The debris can result in premature wear and loss of engine oil pressure. As a result, the engine could stall unexpectedly or fail. Dealers will replace the engine balance shaft module to correct this concern.
Active head restraints are designed to move forward and upward as necessary in the event of a rear end collision. These vehicles are being recalled because an internal fault in the occupant restraint control module could cause the active head restraints not to function as expected, increasing the risk of injury. Dealers will reprogram the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) or replace the occupant restraint control module as necessary to correct this concern.
The vehicle emission control system includes a fuel vapor canister that stores excess fuel vapors and then releases them to be burned when the engine is running. A broken control valve in the fuel tank assembly could allow liquid fuel to enter the vapor canister, resulting in an engine stalling condition and/or a fuel leak. Having the engine stall while driving increases the risk of a crash and any fuel leak always increases the risk of a fire. Dealers will inspect the fuel tank assembly on affected vehicles and replace a damaged control valve to correct this concern.
667 vehicles equipped with a 3.6L engine are being recalled because a connecting rod bearing can fail due to debris inside the engine block. Connecting rod failure may lead to engine seizure, which can increase the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the engine to correct this concern. The Chrysler recall number is L33.
Some vehicles may have been assembled with a missing or incorrectly installed steering column pivot rivet. This could result in a loss of steering capability, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will inspect the rivet and repair the steering column as required. This recall is expected to begin during June 2011. The Chrysler recall number is L23.
