When I'm slowing down to a Stop sign for example. The past summer the transmission had gone into limp mode twice on the hottest of days. I don't remember the diagnostic codes, but I think it had to do with temperature and low/rev selanoid. It was a quart low on tranny fluid so I added a quart of ATF+3. It's been mostly fine since except for the clunk noise I heard and felt above at times.
With the full vent on, I repeatedly sprayed lysol disinfectant at the windhield inlet and let it flow inside the van. The odor is mixed with the disinfectant air. It didn't do any good.
Your suggestions is highly appreciated
STARTS FINE WHEN ENGINE IS COLD. AFTER IT REACHES OPERATING
TEMP IT WON'T START AGAIN UNTIL THE ENGINE COOLS OFF FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES THEN IT STARTS FINE. NO CODES. REPLACED CAM POSITION SENSOR, CRANK SHAFT POSITION SENSOR. VAN RUNS FINE AFTER IT STARTS.
I have been told that a switch might be on the transmission but cannot find a diagram that shows it.
Afterward the speedometer and tachometer would not work. Tried the trip odometer reset trick, never saw it go into self test. Do the engine and wheel speed sensors send signals to the ECM? I also had to manipulate the relay box to R2 the ECM. Is it possible I've screwed something up there? This thing is driving me nuts.
I got a code from OBD for P1698 NoCCD messages recieved from PCM. Can I reset this or what part should I replace?
sensor is bad. I've determined that the sensor is part of the pcm. Where is the pcm located in the car? I think it's next to the relay box in the front left of the engine compartment but I'm not sure. There are two other codes displayed. One is the o2 sensor and the other is the coolant sensor. Could the pcm be at fault for those as well?
