2005 Chrysler Crossfire Problems
Heated Seats Stop Working
The heated seats may stop working. Our technicians tell us special repair kits are available from Chrysler to correct this concern.
Interior Door Pull Handles are Available Separately
Interior door pull handles are available separately and replacement of the door trim panel may not be required if only the door handle needs service.
Vehicle May Not Shift Out of Park if Brake Switch is Out of Adjustment
If the brake switch (brake-shift interlock) is out of adjustment, the shift lever may not shift out of park.
Transmission Electrical Connector May Leak Transmission Fluid
Often misdiagnosed as a transmission oil pan gasket leak, the electrical connector on the automatic transmission may leak.
Individual Parts Available For Damaged Rear Spoiler
The rear spoiler may fail or become damaged. Commonly, the repair does not include replacing the complete spoiler assembly. Individual parts are available and can be replaced as necessary.
Adjust micro switch if windows won't go down
Electrical Connection Seal on Transmission is Leaking Oil
Electrical Connector into transmission is leaking oil.
I've been told by dealer that this was a common problem on the 2005 model and that it would cost $185.00 to fix it. Unfortunately because it is a seal it is not covered under an extended warranty I bought with the car.
Does anyone know if this repair is a simple one or is the dealer the better way to go? For example I did my own cabin air filter and saved $70 over the dealer's quote.
Inspect check valve before replacing solenoid valve
HVAC Blower May Not Turn On
A problem with the blower motor resistor can cause the heater blower motor to be inoperative (no air will blow from the heater vents). Proper diagnostic is needed to determine the cause.
