Though the customer service was excellent - getting an update about my vehicle every few hours is great - my car had to be towed back to CBA less than 48 hours after picking it up, and it still isn't starting properly. This is very frustrating after having spent $1,800 with them.

Lied about parts cost. They used after market parts but charged me for original parts (disc brake). I found this out by calling Honda Dealer. After market disc break cost $100. Original disc break cost $198.
Christian Brother charged me $189 for the after market disc brake. They appeared to be very customer friendly but straight up lying. I also mentioned my radio is no longer working and they seemed very concerned and keep me informed. Then tell me it would cost $400 minimum to fix and they would like to fix it for me. To fix at Honda dealer is $150 and to buy another car radio and install cost $150.

They did not fix the problem the first time and it got worse. It will cost more to fix this time.
The initial reason for the visit was a follow-up to an A/C repair made at the Round Grove Road location in November of 2015. The Hebron location performed this evaluation at no cost. I then elected to have the spark plugs changed.

At Christian Brothers Automotive, we will never recommend work that we do not believe is needed. We actually have a three step process to review each recommendation. 1. The technician reviews the vehicle and makes recommendations based on his/her findings 2. The service advisor/manager will review the findings with the technician at the car. 3. If the customer would like, we have an open shop policy to review any of our recommendations with the customer at their car.
We take great care in delivering a great service at a fair price. We regularly review are prices against industry standards for automotive repair. In addition, we regularly shop our competitors within our market to ensure our pricing is in line. In completing these tasks, my experience has found us to be on the lower end of industry standards and very competitive in our local markets.

We survey our market several times a year, and often times when comparing apples to apples, we find ourselves priced on the lower end of the market.
RT and Phil did a great job of helping me. I feel I can call on them for any vehicle problem I have and they will get me in ASAP and get the job done!
Fast reliable service.
I feel I got shafted on motor replacement. The new motor was driven only 80 miles then overheated and blew head gasket. They claimed radiator failure which should have been fully tested before reinstalling radiator. I requested they clean and pressure test radiator before reinstalling, therefore how would that be possible to fail after only 80 miles. Cost me $3000.
We certainly are sympathetic to this customer's situation. We gave this customer three engine replacement options: remanufactured with a 3 year 100k parts and labor warranty, used with a 12 month 12k parts and labor warranty, or used with a 6 month part only warranty. The customer elected the 6 month part only warranty. When the vehicle left, the vehicle ran excellent with no leaks.
Several months later, we received a call from the customer advising they where sitting in traffic and the vehicle began to overheat. We immediately sent our shuttle to assist the customer.
When we arrived at the scene, we noticed the plastic radiator tank had split and would not hold any water. We agreed to have the vehicle towed as it was not driveable.
We took the customer back to our shop and their friend was going to wait at the vehicle for the tow truck. While we where at the shop arranging the tow truck and rental car with the customer, their friend came pulling up and had elected to drive the vehicle hot rather than wait on the tow. Driving the vehicle with no coolant damaged the head gaskets. Despite this being the case, we still offered to honor the part warranty on the engine. The customer elected not to repair the vehicle at that time.
Very courteous, knowledgeable, fair and above all honest. If something doesn't need service they'll tell you and not just perform the service anyway and charge you.
